MUSICAL CHAIRS
In my
opinion the general work was very well, but not so complete as it could has
been. The whole group worked well together and in a coordinated way. I think
that every member of the group collaborated in the work, since when the teacher
asked each member they knew how to answer well and fluently. Apart of that, I
also think that everyone was conscious about all the part of their works. As
all good cooperative groups they fulfilled their roles, but without leave apart
the works of others.
I liked
some things that they said about cooperative, such as the important to know our
students, teacher as a guide and someone who help and lead them.
The activity was another thing that I really
liked. It was very good worked, and especially creative. We could learn how
cooperative learning works with a great example as the activity was. We had to
work together to achieve the objective of the activity. We were working on time
in an investigation work, therefore we had to learn how to work together because
we were working on time, and the cooperation of everyone in the group was the
only way to get the objective.
Despite of
all this things, I think that they could have said something else about
cooperative learning such as base team, the organization… felt as something
missing, and I think that it was a little bit more of information about we had
to speak.
Apart of
this, my conclusion is that it was a very good work where I could understand
more about cooperative learning taking the example of the own team.
AMIGOS DEL FOOTBALL
The first thing I have to say about this team, it is
that I really liked the work. It was very complete and organized, even when
they had some difficulties because the language was different among the
members. When I say that it was complete, I refer with regard the information
and well explanation. Slideshows were filled with the perfect information to
include more with the explanation of the exposition.
I think they understood the theory because they
answered to all our questions.
One new thing that I learnt with this exposition was
the difference between a difficulty and a disadvantage in cooperative learning.
There are not disadvantages here; if not difficulties with the work that we
have to solve. For example one difficulties are the good communication or the
differences among the members, but they have to solve it and to get improve
their communication and to know them better.
Finally I really loved their activity, because I think
it could be very useful in a class. The objective of this activity is to make
know better all the member of base groups. We had to write something about our
likes and share them with our partners of the group. I think this activity
would be perfect for the beginning of the curse or with the incorporation of
new members into the class, as a first deeper contact, so it is very useful.
TEAM PERK
I remember very well this group because I really liked
their intervention. Everything that they said was very clear and interesting. I
think that the most important thing that they showed to us, it was a paper with
an assessment. Children must have the possibility to give an opinion about
things that they do, or about the work teacher give them. On this way we
wouldn't helping just to the students, if not teacher could know what things
work or what do not work and need a change.
Another interesting thing was that they explained us
what type of structure they would pick for their class. Although this
thing does not look very important, that is not the true. If we want to create
a collaborative environment, we will have to start from the beginning with base
things like this.
The only thing I
did not like was that the group did not speak about the organization of the
teams. In my opinion these types of organizations with regard the groups are
very important because are different ways of to group teams and that we are
going to use with techniques. This is my opinion, but maybe this team thought
that they are no so important, so it was not a mistake, just their
opinion.
The last thing I have to comment is the activity. I
thing that the activity was very useful,
because we enjoyed at the same time that
we established rules to follow with our group or in the class, so I can imagine
that it would be fantastic for children.
CRÓNICAS
VIAJERAS
This group was very nice because although their
explanation was very short it was very clear and they kept my attention all the
time. The whole group knew very well about what they were speaking and they
knew how to transmit that to the class. I have also to say that their work was
very original because it was oriented as if the presentation was a travel tour
through examples of a plane or carry things in a suitcase.
The activity consisted in to take one object that bring
to us good memories, to later explain the meaning of our good memory to our
partner. One of us had to explain something about the history of the memory ad
why it is so important for our partner. This activity would help to students to
know better their members and have a deeper contact with them. This can help
them to understand some aspects of the life of others, and maybe get a better
relationship.
The most think I liked about their activity was that
they made little examples among them, and I think that this was a way not only
to explain well the activity if not to integration with the group.
UNKNOWNS
I really liked this group for the same that always,
their explanation was fine, although some of the members did not know very well
the content about they were saying, but in general the work was very clear and we
could understand everything that they said. About the work, the most things I
liked were the new things they introduced, because they spoke about trust and
reflection. Both things are important; the first one with a work in group since
you have to trust in the work of your partner, if not the work can be very uncomfortable
because you have to think about your work and the other.
The other thing that I considered like interesting was
the reflection that they included in their notebook, maybe the others groups we
included this aspect of cooperative learning, but not as the really important
thing that it is. Reflection is a way where children can think about their work
and what thing they need to change to improve it.
The activity was very entertaining because we had to
throw a ball between us saying what we liked and what not, so we knew each
other better. What I found most beautiful of this activity was that we
could see that other people, with whom we had not talked so much, they had our
same likes.
DUMBLEDORE
TEACHER’S ARMY
If I have to describe
this group, it would be like interesting. They said different things with
regard the rest of the groups, even when I must say that I did not understand
them very well, because of the explanation.
I am not sure if they invented many things that they
said and even when at the moment I did not like it, actually I think that we
had to start to do the same. No repeat what we have learnt about cooperative
learning basing our ideas with the document. If not being able to create our
own ways to explain it and understand cooperative learning with new ideas, and
that is what they did. I have to recognize that I did not like very well the
result, but what is a fact is that they tried a new thing.
Speaking more specifically about the work they spoke
about new ways to use cooperative learning such as use it with home works and
as a way where teacher can watch who works, and if someone do not do it help
her/ him.
The activity
was what I most liked of this work, it was a way to know much better my
partners and being able to say something about him or her hat I would not have
been able to say if I had not speak with my partner, and that is an opportunity
that this play gives.
MODERN STUDENTS
I liked very much this presentation, because although
some of their member did not know to explain it very well, the content was very
interesting and focused in new things. Most
things I liked were that they spoke about important aspects that cooperative
learning must be composed. I am just going to name some of them: trust is one
important factor with what was is composed cooperation; responsibility, with
your own work and even when you trust that other person is doing his/her part,
you must have
a little responsibility
with their works too; communication that is important to collaborate an a
leadership; not everyone have the same motivation and some of them need a
little push that help them to take the iniciative and do things, it is for that
someone or more than one can take that iniciative and transmit it to others,
helping them to achieve that motivation and iniciative.
The activity of this group was one of my favourites
because apart of being quiet entertainment it was very useful. Maybe children
would not understand from the beginning the double meaning of this activity and
they would just see it like a play, but it is the teacher’s tag that children
understand more about this activity. They must make understand to students that
with this activity they are developing collaboration, where they need to others
to complete the work. Apart of this, teacher has the possibility to watch who
of his/her students is competitive and who is collaborative.
